“Come in King of Glory”
This outreach had been caught up in a whirlwind of spiritual warfare over several weeks -from the permit, to sound, to tables & chairs, to barricades, to the weather, and through personal challenges experienced by many on the team – but the Lord prevailed!!
We entered in on behalf of North Charlotte by decreeing that we are not orphans and that we are not forgotten; that through faith in Jesus Christ, we are sons of God. And if sons, then we are led by Holy Spirit. So we sought through worship, testimony and ministry to introduce/re-introduce Holy Spirit, the One who came in like a mighty rushing wind on the Day of Pentecost, the One who is the seven-fold Spirit of God: The Spirit of the Lord, The Spirit of Jesus, and The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. And from Isaiah 61, we prophesied that He is The One who had anointed us to bring good news and comfort to North Charlotte, to bind up the brokenhearted and to give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for heaviness, and to call forth this community, to those who would believe, as oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord.
We welcomed Holy Spirit and worshiped Our King of Glory through song, sound, dance, flags and bell-ringing. We declared together “Hallelujah, I am free; sin and death have no hold on me, because we have Resurrection Power flowing on the inside”. We demonstrated His love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We exhorted those who had an ear to hear that Jesus as the Lamb of God set us free through His blood from all of our bondages. Personal testimonies of deliverance and breakthrough were offered up. And the community was charged to give their all to Him, to walk away from sin and follow hard after God. And if they stumbled, they were encouraged to just get back up because the Lord is faithful to forgive and to cleanse. He did it for one, so He would do it for them.
Ministry went forth throughout the event but an appeal was made to come forth for salvation, healing, deliverance and other prayer needs. Several got saved, rededicated their lives, and at least two were baptized in Holy Spirit. Prophetic words were released and additional prayers were administered for a release of dreams, visions, business ideas and creativity, for mothers and fathers arising and blessing the next generation, for marriages being blessed and restored, for hopelessness and wickedness being destroyed, for angels being deployed, and for the Wind of God, the River of God flowing through every street, every house.
Hallelujah!!!!
