Worship & Prayer Gathering, Saturday, August 29th
Return & Remember
After we entered into Worship & Praise, we opened up with testimonies from our recent prayer journey to Cane Ridge Meeting House in Paris, Kentucky and the three River churches in Logan County, Kentucky along with reading excerpts from a recently-discovered blog which highlighted a revelation on God’s formula for restoration. The key similarities in our testimonies and that blog were the themes of Return, Remember, Repent, and then God would Restore.
Continuing in the first two themes of Return & Remember, we also read excerpts from Dutch Sheet’s website where he recalled Julie Meyer’s prophetic dream about intercession. That dream contained the imagery of angels and ambulances and the message that the intercessors needed to put themselves back in the timeline of the old, old stories in order to be revived. There was a small gasp from the folks there as they spoke out that right when I (Yvonne) was sharing that dream, an ambulance could be seen driving by the window. Wow Lord!
Dutch, in that blog, further expressed his impression of how similar Julie’s dream’ was to Ezekiel prophesying life to the Valley of Dry Bones. So as we continued to worship, we loosed that Scripture as a declaration over Union County.
A Vision
Then in the midst of the ongoing worship, I (Yvonne) was caught up in a vision. The setting was the Town of Waxhaw in what seemed to be the times of war in the 40s and 50s. I could see the entire town from neighborhood to neighborhood being caught up in the war effort. It was like a scene from It’s A Wonderful Life. People were busy gathering articles that soldiers would need, having different types of drives for materials needed; there were bake sales, children collecting things, and there was obvious love, care and support for one another. There was a seriousness and a fervor; but there was also joy, unity, a true sense of righteous purpose and community.
The scene then slightly changed and the town was in the middle of a celebration as soldiers were arriving on the train rolling down the track just across the street – but the war had not ended, so the return was not to stay but just to reconnect with family and rest as there was a equal amount of eagerness to complete the mission. And that mission was the entire town’s mission.
And there was only honor as a parade ensued with a marching band and lots of fanfare – there was chaotic but harmonious activity everywhere. And there was again, a sense of joy, unity and a true sense of righteous purpose, even as the soldiers swept up their families and twirled them around. As I watched one young soldier kiss his wife and toddler, I could sense their peace and commitment, and like a caption under a picture, I heard Dutch’s words from one of his recent messages where he quoted young David as David stood between the army of Israel and Goliath, “Is there not a cause?”
We Are In War – O Lord, We Repent
And at the writing of this report, there has been a horrific terrorist attack at multiple locations in the city of Paris, France. This past Sunday (11/15/15), Chuck Pierce remarked,
“These are interesting days. When I started writing The Future War of the Church in 2000, the resistance I met from the Body of Christ was tremendous. And then in God’s Unfolding Battle Plan in 2006 and now I’m working on a Time to Triumph. Here’s the thing I don’t think we have embraced or understood: some of us when we think war – we think of the Middle East and our troops have to go fight. That’s not the situation any longer. We are in war. Without the restraining force of Holy Spirit being present, the enemy has access. Here’s a difference in this war now – the enemy will find a way in if Holy Spirit does not set up a wall of resistance through us. Understand that, and understand that we have changed. … We are in new movement where a triumphant people have to rise up. And churches are – you can’t have sanctuary just by going to church. Some of the most slaughtered places are those of God’s people who aren’t expecting the enemy to try to come in to their midst. And when I first started saying these things back in 1987, 1988 people didn’t understand because we didn’t want to understand. I’m going to encourage you – after the situation in Paris we must stay alert in Holy Spirit. I don’t know how else to tell you. I will repeat this over and over again. You must stay alert in Holy Spirit. Paris and France probably wishes they had not been anti-semitic up until now, and we want to go to war along with them so that we bring the Spirit of God back in that nation in a way He needs to come. The last time we went there we did something unusual because the Torah was removed from France during WWII. We actually brought the Torah back in, in a service. It got lots of flack. We must understand the only resisting force in the earth – it’s not being religious, it’s not going to church. It’s Holy Spirit amongst us. Whether you are at Wal-mart, whether you are at a movie, whether you are at a gathering, a football game – Holy Spirit must be present with you. Holy Spirit, we welcome you and we say we ask you to forgive us for quenching you. We ask you to forgive the church for resisting you. We thank You that you are ready to move again in the earth.”
Restore – O Breath of God Come!
Ezekiel 37:1-10 (NASB)
Vision of the Valley of Dry Bones
37 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 He caused me to pass among them round about, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley; and lo, they were very dry. 3 He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” 4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’ 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life. 6 I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will know that I am the Lord.’”
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone. 8 And I looked, and behold, sinews were on them, and flesh grew and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them. 9 Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life.”’” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.
