July/August Bimonthly Update

Prophesying life to these dry bones!

Walk with us and prophesy as you read the report on our recent prayer mission to the Cane Ridge Meeting House in Paris, KY, the three river churches in Logan County, KY and then down Highway 431 to Nashville, TN. The places we stood on and the stories we heard are a part of our history as a nation. It is time to command and prophesy life to these dry bones just as Ezekiel did (Ezekiel 37:1-10).

I recently heard a message that made me ponder over the difference between revival and awakening when I came upon a very meaningful post on One Nation Under God Radio’s website::

In a previous newsletter, I spoke about the formula that God set forth in the Old Testament for the restoration of His people when they found themselves in times where the blessing of God had been removed.  First, God would have them return to a place where an altar or something of consequence had been erected after a mighty move of God.  An example would be when the Israelites crossed the Jordan River into the promised land on dry ground, God told the elders of each tribe to get a stone and to take the twelve stones and erect an altar unto the LORD.  The purpose of the altar would in future times prove to be a powerful reminder of how God was sufficient for the seeming impossibilities of life.  When the people returned, there would always be an elder who could remember the details of the story.  He would tell the people what God had done in the lives of their predecessors.  This would bring forth arepentance of the people whereby they would cry out to the LORD and ask forgiveness of how far they had strayed from His calling and guidance.  At that point,God would restore the nation.
These same thoughts are echoed in this excerpt from Dutch Sheets’ blog:

As we tell the old stories of revival—moves of God birthed through prayer—we are prophesying life and commanding hearts of intercession to beat again.

As we tell the old stories of God’s outpourings in the earth, we will witness what Ezekiel did: a hopeless, lifeless movement will rise up as a mighty force in the earth once again.

Releasing stories of God’s outpourings will release a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit over the praying church. Tongues of fire will spring up on the heads of intercessors around the world, and a storytelling anointing will ignite within them. They will go forth as a powerful prophetic voice to unleash a mighty wave of revival that will circle the globe.

Put yourself in God’s great storyline and command your heart to beat in synch with past prayers and past movements that are still paving the way for the greatest Great Awakening!

Haiti

We will return to Haiti in early 2016 to sow into the Education Mountain there. Please pray with us as we do our part to restore His glory to Haiti. Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:13-14.
