“As a nation, we must come together to call upon Jesus to guide us through the unprecedented struggles we face today, and thank Him for the blessings of freedom we have so richly enjoyed. The epic crisis facing our nation and threatening our future demands an epic response of repentance, prayer and fasting, asking God for mercy on us and on our land.” The Response USA
Our Response
In lieu of hosting a Worship & Prayer Gathering for September, we chose to join forces with the saints across our state at The Response North Carolina for six hours of fasting, praying , repenting and worshiping before Our Lord. And this gathering was far beyond all expectations.
A few of us joined in the pre-event worship that started at 9:00 am while most of our team came as they could starting at 10:00 am. So proud of how our team laid down their lives on this day.
Six Segments
Our host, who never introduced himself, any of the worship teams or speakers except for Governor Pat McCrory, led us by the spirit through 6 segments – Repentance, Reconciliation, Renewal, Revival, Reformation and Refreshing.
Every Mountain!
Prayers were offered for racial, gender and age reconciliation, for marriages, education, students – college, high school and elementary, sex-trafficking victims, arts & entertainment industry and for our slain brothers and sisters in Charleston and their families, I recognized some of the speakers as having a known passion for their specific topic of prayer. Go Jesus!
Come Holy Spirit & Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem
Everyone was engaged in worship as we continuously welcomed Holy Spirit to abide with us, empower us and lead us. And throughout our time, we would gather in small groups to add in our prayers. How incredible! And then our host led a prayer for Israel and for the peace of Jerusalem – wow!
A Sacred Assembly
“The call of God to His people in times of great trouble is to gather together and call on Him with one voice, one heart, and a unified desire to see great blessing and great glory come to our nation again. (Joel 2) The power of unified prayer from a humble gathering of the saints is found in the hope that He might answer us once again, and turn the tide of our trouble and the host of threats that stand against us.” The Response USA
O Lord, hear our cry and heal our land!
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)
14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
